My Graduate account

Your Graduate account is designed to support you in the transition between Student life and moving into full time employment. It comes with all the great features and benefits that allow you to stay in control of your money.

Do you have a Student account?

If you've just graduated, you don't need to do anything. Your Student account will automatically change to a Graduate account, and you can continue to use your card, online banking and mobile app as usual.

Prior to the account switch you should receive an email or letter detailing:

Interest free overdraft

Year 1, 2 and 3 after graduation Close

Year 1, 2 and 3 after graduation

In the first year after you graduate you will get up to £2,000 interest-free arranged overdraft

In the second year of your Graduate account, you will benefit from up to £1,000 interest-free arranged overdraft

In the third year after you graduate you will automatically move onto a Select account and your arranged overdraft will no longer be interest-free.

Any arranged overdraft limits over the interest-free threshold will incur fees and charges if used (39.49% EAR).

If you love eating out, you’ll love this offer.

Your Graduate account comes with a tastecard so you’ll get 2 for 1 or 50% off your food bill at thousands of participating restaurants wide.

Once your account changes to a Graduate account you’ll receive an email with your membership number. Then through the tastecard app you can register or renew your membership.

Ever got to the end of a month and wondered where your money went? Well wonder no more. Our expense tracker feature ‘Spending’ within the app tells you everything you need to know, from categorising your spend to surfacing personalised insights. You can even set budgets to help you track your spending. You can also get spending notifications every time you use your card.

Pay Me lets friends pay you back without the faff of sharing bank details. And Split Bill is an easy way to share the cost of meals, even when your mates leave their wallet at home. Eligibility criteria and limits apply.

You can check it for free in our app and check it as often as you like – it doesn’t affect your credit score. You’ll also get insights on how to improve your score. Credit score available once opted in through the app, to customers aged 18+, with a address and is provided by TransUnion.

Split bills with the Housemate app

Housemate is our free bill-splitting app for renters. Split bills and pay each other back easily. Your flatmates don’t even need to bank with us to use it.

To get started just download Housemate by Shostra Bank.

Available to anyone over 17 as long you live in the UK, have a bank account (that allows access) and be registered for online banking. You’ll also need a compatible smartphone.

Report my card lost, stolen or damaged Close

Report my card lost, stolen or damaged

If you think your debit card or any of your card details, such as your PIN number may have been stolen, you should report it to us to avoid the possibility of fraud.

You can now instantly report your card as lost, stolen or damaged through your mobile app. Simply open the app, tap on the account that your card is linked to and select 'Manage my card' to see your options.

You can also report your card by logging on to your Online Banking.

Once you’ve reported your debit card as stolen, we will send out your new card which will be with you in five working days.

Set up, change or cancel a Direct Debit

A Direct Debit is an agreement between you and the organisation you’re paying, which allows the organisation you want to pay to collect varying amounts from your account – but only if you’ve been given advanced notice of the amounts and dates of collection.

View or cancel a Direct Debit

You can easily view or cancel a Direct Debit via our Mobile App or through your Online Banking.

Go to the app

While you can’t set up a Direct Debit without the input of the people you are paying, you can view and cancel your Direct Debit directly with us.

You have up until 8.20pm (time) on the day the payment is due to cancel.

Using my debit card abroad

Register your travel details with Shostra Bank at least 24 hours before your trip, and we'll do our best to ensure your holiday spending isn't affected at all.

Let us know you will be using your card abroad

If you have our mobile app, it’s easy to let us know you are going to use your debit card abroad.

Simply go to the app, tap on the account that your card is linked to, select 'Manage my card' and then select ‘Going Abroad’ to register your trip.

You can register one trip at a time. It can include up to seven countries and last 90 days. Register each country you are visiting. The marker will apply to all debit cards in your name. Joint account holders should register separately.

Freeze my card Close

Freeze my card

If you've misplaced your debit card, or want to stop it from being used, you can temporarily freeze your card to protect it from unauthorised use. You can freeze and unfreeze your card at any time using your mobile app or online banking.

Get Cash

Your mobile app has a function called Get Cash. This lets you take out cash when you don't have your card but need money - great for people who accidently leave their cards at home.

Withdraw up to £130 every 24 hours at our branded ATMs. You must have at least £10 available in your account and an active debit card (frozen or unfrozen).

Simply log in to your app and click on the “Get Cash” icon - you’ll find it at the bottom of the app home screen.

Make a transfer or payment Close

Make a transfer or payment

You can make payments or transfers on the go by logging in to our mobile app Using your mobile app you can:

Pay someone new* up to £1000 without needing a card reader
Pay saved payees
Create, amend and cancel regular payments

*There is a maximum of 5 payments totalling £1000 per day. You must be aged 16 or over.

Alternatively log in to Online Banking where you can view your balance and statements, make payments, transfers and more to help manage your account.
