If your everyday electrical items are stolen or damaged beyond repair, you can choose between a brand new replacement delivered direct to your door, or receive an e voucher for you to use straight away. Optional on standard and Included with Elite.

Standard home insurance

Elite home insurance

All the benefits of Standard, with higher levels of cover. £100,000 cover. For more information on what the policy covers, please read the Elite insurance product information document and policy document

Core cover

New for old

Replaced new for old, regardless of wear and tear.

Special events

The amount your contents are insured for (‘sum insured’) will be increased by 10% over Christmas.

Downloaded data

Digital content that you’ve paid for and downloaded onto your home computer or a mobile device is covered. Downloaded data has a limit of £1000.

Alternative accommodation

If your home is unfit to live in after you’ve made a valid claim, reasonable costs of alternative accommodation, storage for your belongings and kennel fees for domestic pets are covered.

Optional extras

Accidental damage

Covers the contents of your home against unintentional damage. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover

Contents away from home

Option to increase the amount that certain personal possessions you can wear or take outside the house (e.g. laptop, jewellery, bicycle) are insured for. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover

Home emergency

You’ll get up to £500 towards call-out, labour and parts if there’s an emergency in your home. This would be an optional extra for both Standard and Elite insurance

Legal protection

Provides financial help towards certain legal disputes (if the claim has at least 50% chance of success) and access to a 24-hour confidential advice line. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover

Options if you rent

Renters contents insurance

Insure the contents of your rented home for a total sum of £5,000, £10,000, £15,000, £20,000 or £25,000. This doesn’t include any possessions you keep in the garden. For more information on what the policy covers, please read the Renters insurance product information document and policy document.

Switch your home insurance

When you switch your home insurance, you can claim up to £50 towards any cancellation fees your current insurer charges. Once you’ve cancelled your existing cover and taken out your new policy, get in touch with U K Insurance Limited. They’ll arrange for you to be reimbursed within 7 to 10 working days.

We will share your personal details (i.e. policy start date and number, your name, postal and email addresses and contact telephone number) with our third party, Marketing Lounge Partnership (MLP) for the purpose of fulfilment of this offer.
