Cover options

Standard home insurance

The most popular product, offering flexibility to adjust to your needs. Up to £1m Building cover (the amount paid up to for the cost of repairs or rebuild of your home) following a valid claim. Elite home insurance

All the benefits of Standard, with higher levels of cover. Unlimited Building cover (the amount paid up to for the cost of repairs or rebuild of your home) following a valid claim. For more information on what the policy covers, please read the Elite insurance product information document and policy document.

Core cover

Building cover

You can claim towards the cost of repairing or rebuilding your home following an insured event.

Alternative accommodation

If your home is unfit to live in after you’ve made a valid claim, reasonable costs of alternative accommodation, storage for your belongings and kennel fees for domestic pets are covered.

Trace and access

You’re covered if part of your building needs to be removed and replaced to locate the exact source of a water leak from tanks, pipes, appliances or a fixed heating system in your building.

Lock replacement

You can claim reasonable costs of replacing and fitting new locks to external doors if your keys are lost or stolen.

Emergency entries

This covers the cost of repairing any damage caused to your building by the emergency services if they need to make a forced entry.

Optional extras

Accidental damage

Unintentional damage (such as DIY accidents) in parts of the building you’re responsible for. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover

Personal Possessions

You can get cover for items taken outside your home eg. Laptops, jewellery, pedal cycles. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.

Legal protection

Provides financial help towards you and your dependents in certain legal disputes (if the claim has at least 50% chance of success) and access to a 24-hour confidential advice line. This would be an optional extra for Standard insurance cover and included with Elite insurance cover.

Switch your home insurance

When you switch your home insurance to us, you can claim up to £50 towards any cancellation fees your current insurer charges. Once you’ve cancelled your existing cover and taken out your new policy, get in touch with U K Insurance Limited. They’ll arrange for you to be reimbursed within 7 to 10 working days.

As we tackle climate change and move away from using paper we ask that you download and save documents to your device. The ‘What 

You Need to Know’ document can be posted to you if you need it in a paper format.

We will share your personal details (i.e. policy start date and number, your name, postal and email addresses and contact telephone number) with our third party, Marketing Lounge Partnership (MLP) for the purpose of fulfilment of this offer.
